In Wanted: Gin Rummy, your task is to arrange cards of the same number together to form a set, remove dead cards, go gin, and win absolutely.

Game Highlights

Number of Players

Wanted: Gin Rummy is a game for two players, creating a tense and uncompromising intellectual scene. Each hand is a real confrontation, where even the slightest mistake can cause you to lose the game. With a one-on-one format, the game brings a feeling of direct confrontation, forcing you to constantly speculate, calculate and react quickly to each move of your opponent.

Standard Deck

The deck consists of 52 cards like a standard deck, and in all games you will be dealt 10 cards. There will be a card placed and whoever wins will have the right to go first. Look at the cards you receive to see if you need them, if you do, click on them to get them, otherwise you will have to draw another card from the pile, and then play any card.

The goal of playing Wanted: Gin Rummy

In Wanted: Gin Rummy, your main goal is to arrange the cards into valid combinations, specifically:

  • A set of three or four cards of the same value but different suits.
  • A consecutive sequence of at least three cards of the same suit.

To gain an advantage, players must observe carefully, remember the cards their opponents have discarded, and make the right decisions at each draw and discard. In particular, the Ace card has a value of only 1, so it cannot be used in a sequence like A - Q - K. Choosing which card to keep or discard can make a clear difference between winning and losing.

The secret to winning lies in the remaining cards

In addition to creating combinations, you also have to manage the remaining cards. These are cards that are not part of any set or sequence, and will be counted at the end of the game.

  • J, Q, K are worth 10 points each.
  • Aces are worth only 1 point.
  • The remaining cards keep their numerical value.

The more deadwoods you have, the higher your score, and that is undesirable. The ideal goal is to reduce the total deadwood points as low as possible, or even to 0, in which case you will go gin, which means winning the game outright.
