Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 game objective

Your task in playing the game is to arrange all the cards from the main deck onto four squares in the correct order and suit starting from A to K. Move all 52 cards onto four columns, each corresponding to a suit in ascending order from A to K.

Challenge of Turn 3 mode:

Each time you can only flip 3 cards from the reserve deck, making it harder to choose a move, requiring strategy, memorization and proper arrangement.

Difference between Klondike Solitaire Turn 1 and Turn 3

This is the classic Klondike Solitaire game, with two modes: Turn 1 and Turn 3. Although they look similar, these two modes offer completely different levels of challenge and strategy.

How to flip cards

  • Turn 1: Each time you flip 1 card from the stock pile. This makes it easier to control, as all cards are immediately accessible.
  • Turn 3: Each time you flip 3 cards at the same time, and only the top cards can be used. The remaining two cards can only be used when you continue flipping the next round.

Difficulty

  • Turn 1: Easier, suitable for beginners or those who want to relax gently.
  • Turn 3: Significantly more difficult, as you cannot access all cards immediately. Requires logical thinking, judgment many steps ahead to optimize the move.

The board in Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 is divided into 4 main areas:

  • Foundation: 4 boxes located on the top right.
  • Tableau: Consists of 7 columns in the middle of the screen, each column contains cards that are flipped face up or face down, and you can move cards between columns in descending order, alternating colors
  • Stock: Located in the upper left corner, contains unused cards. In Turn 3 mode, each time you flip 3 cards at the same time, and can only use the top card.
  • Waste: Stores cards that have been flipped from Stock but cannot be used yet.

Rules for moving cards

  • You can only put black cards on red cards and vice versa with a value less than 1.
  • When a column is empty, you can only put K cards or series starting with K in it.
  • You can move the whole series of cards if they follow the rule of decreasing alternating colors.
  • When there are no more moves, turn over the Stock 3 cards at a time

When the game ends

  • The game ends when you put all the cards on the Foundation, which is a perfect win
  • If there are no more possible moves and the Stock has rotated all the way, you lose the game.
