Octordle is a mind-bending game where you have to solve word puzzles and guess eight words at a time. Each letter is a fun opportunity and trap.

If you loved Wordle, you will definitely be attracted to Octordle with a challenging upgraded version of this famous word guessing game. Instead of just solving a single alphabet board, the game requires you to guess 8 different secret words at the same time.

Your task in the game is to think creatively with the letters and guess correctly 8 different secret words in just 13 guesses. Each turn, you enter an English word consisting of 5 special letters in those words that will be applied to all 8 boards at the same time. Each board has its own hidden word, and you will receive feedback in the color of the crossword:

  • Green: The letter is correct and in the right position.
  • Yellow: the letter is correct, but in the wrong position.
  • Gray: The letter is not in that word.

Besides, you have to analyze the feedback color on all 8 boards to find the remaining words before the 13 turns are over.

A new way to play in Octordle

Every day, you will be challenged with a new set of 8 secret words, all of which are 5-letter English words that often appear in daily life.

Choose the opening word

  • Goal: explore many different letters, prioritizing common vowels and consonants.
  • Opening hint words: AUDIO, ARISE, CRANE, SLATE, ROATE, TRACE, ADIEU, SALET.
  • Use the first 1 to 2 turns to maximize the information on all 8 boards without trying to guess the exact right answer.

Manage 8 boards at the same time

  • Prioritize the board with the most hints because it solves the boards that are on track to finish first, to reduce the number of boards being processed.
  • If there are 2 to 3 boards that are almost finished, focus on guessing possible combinations for them.
  • When there are only a few turns left: allocate turns by prioritize.
  • If there is a very ambiguous board left, take a risk and use a trial with many possible letters to save the remaining boards.
