Chess War takes you into a fierce chess battle where you need to place your pieces appropriately. Lead your chess army to victory through each intense match.

How to play Chess War to win

In Chess War, your goal is to defeat your opponent using chess tactics combined with real-time combat. You not only have to calculate smart moves like in traditional chess, but also have to deploy the combat power of each chess piece to destroy the enemy and take over the board. Each chess piece not only moves according to classic rules, but also possesses its own combat skills and upgradeable power index.

Screen layout

  • Battle chess board: where the entire battle takes place.
  • Skill bar: displays the special moves of the chess piece.
  • HP and Mana index: used to launch moves, recover after each turn.
  • Mini-map: helps to observe the opponent's position in the expanded map.

How to move

  • Select the chess piece and touch the square you want to move like in chess.
  • When you get close to the enemy, you can activate a special skill or normal attack.
  • Each turn has a time limit, consider quickly and accurately.

Special skill system in Chess War

Each type of chess piece Pawn, Knight, Rook, Bishop, Queen, King has its own skill:

  • Pawn: can upgrade itself or sacrifice to buff teammates.
  • Knight: jumps over other pieces, causing large-scale damage.
  • Bishop: heals pieces in a diagonal range.
  • Rook: causes strong damage vertically or horizontally.
  • Queen: has a special skill on the entire map, extremely strong when upgraded.
  • King: high defense, has a resurrection skill or temporary immortality

Chess War tips

Always control the center of the board

  • Keeping the center position helps you move easily, attack easily and avoid being cornered.
  • Don't spread out your resources, choose 2 to 3 strongest pieces, usually Queen, Rook, or Knight, to focus on investing in upgrading.

Predict the opponent's movement direction

  • Observe their movement habits if they always attack the left wing, trap them with a Rook or Bishop in that direction.
  • Special skills can turn the tide, don't use them early when it's not really necessary.
